A school clothing grant is paid twice a year for each child to enable them to have new school clothing. The school clothing grants are paid into a bank account in August and January.
Paid annually for each child to help with the cost of providing some of the gifts so very much expected but so difficult to provide. The Christmas grant is paid into a bank account in November.

Occasionally we can help with the purchase of essential items such as children's beds, cookers etc. However we will endeavour to get other organisations to help with these purchases. We do not clear debts, however, because of our extensive knowledge of other agencies we can always refer a family to someone who can provide confidential advice on debt and other issues.

We will help if at all possible with educational school trips and holidays if they are of an educational nature. It is our aim that the children should not be disadvantaged further because the parents may not be able to afford the cost.

The Society has a small number of caravans situated around the coast of the UK and families have the opportunity to apply for a free week’s holiday. We can not guarantee that everyone will be allocated the week of their choice but we do our best to ensure that everyone is offered a week

In addition to providing grants, we aim to help families deal with other problems and queries they may have even if they are not of a financial nature. Through our experience built up over many years, we will try to find someone or some organisation to help that may be able to assist you. You can find a list of links to other organisations here.
